FAQ’s
Q. What sort of coaching do you do?
I am a Co-Active Coach trained through the highly acclaimed Coaches Training Institute and I think the best way to answer your question is for you to have a look at the Coaches Training Institute’s reply. Here it is here:
“The Coaches Training Institute’s coaching holds that people are naturally creative, resourceful and whole – completely capable of finding their own answers to whatever challenges they face. The job of a Co-Active Coach® is to ask powerful questions, listen and empower to elicit the skills and creativity a client already possesses, rather than instruct or advise.”
Q. What sort of issues do you deal with?
People come to coaching for all different sorts of reasons. You may want someone to help keep you focused and on track or help with motivation or the completion of a goal, like changing career or losing weight. You may want a better sense of balance in your life, less stress and more fulfillment. Co-Active Coaching is not counselling or therapy where you may delve into your past. We don’t diagnose you.
My focus is on helping you to be fulfilled. I do this by helping you to release your true potential and develop the life skills, strategies and tools you may need to make real and lasting change. One of the advantages of having a coach is that you are not doing this on your own. I act as an ally and hold you accountable and on track toward the achievement of your goals.
Q. How long does it take?
That really depends on you and your situation and the areas you want to work on. I offer fixed set life and career coaching programmes where you go through a process of self-discovery to help you to discover your strengths, passions and interests and what you absolutely must have in your life to be happy and fulfilled. One-off check-in coaching sessions after that can keep you focused and on track. It could be however that you just need a few sessions to help you through a difficult time in your life or help with decision making, or motivation towards a particular goal.
Q. I would like to be coached but I don’t live in your area.
That’s okay. I can arrange to see you face to face if you live locally in the London area, however the majority of my coaching is conducted over the telephone. Client have found this to be as effective as face to face coaching and means we can connect wherever you live in the world and it has the added benefit that you don’t have to travel to your coaching session. You can be coached in the comfort of your own home or a quiet place at work. At the agreed time I will call you.
Q. How much does it cost?
I charge a flat rate of £50 per session.
Q. How long is each session?
Usually 45 minutes. However, I usually leave a half hour gap between sessions to allow for over runs. So the session may well last an hour if we are getting to the heart of an issue.
